In 12 years of searching records for the Maryland Friends this is the only document that I have found that mentions Andrew Friend. Since his lot is a part of Military Lot 3282, which was owned by John Friend, Sr., I believe this HAS to refer to John's brother Andrew, both sons of Nicholas Friend b. ~1700.

This deed, made this nineteenth day of August in the year one thousand nine hundred and sixteen by and between Frederick Kamp and Mattie Kamp, his wife, of Garrett County, in the State of Maryland, parties of the first part, and Edith Hileman, of Garrett County, in the State of Maryland, party of the second part, Witnesseth:
That for and in consideration of the sum of a certain piece of land conveyed to the ____ Frederick Kamp by the said Edith Hileman and husband, by deed of even date herewith, and the further sum of one dollar, lawful money of the United States of America, well and truly paid by the said party of the second part to the said parties of the first part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, the said parties of the first part have granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said party of the second part, her heirs and assigns:
All that certain piece, parcel or lot of ground situate near the Town of Friendsville, in Garrett County, MD, known as part of the Old Andrew Friend Farm, being a piece of Military Lot No. 3282, beginning for said piece of ground hereby intended to be conveyed at a sugar tree marked as a corner tree, standing on the north bank or edge of the little creek known as the Andrew Friend Run, running thence with a variation of four and a quarter degrees to the right, S. 5 ¼ º, W. 38 perches and 5 links to a stake standing on the division line fence of J. T. Garey and the Captain Friend[1] place, and with said division fence, east 9 perches and 20 links, thence N. 69 ¼ º E., 6 perches to another division fence and with it N. 5 ¼ º E. 38 perches to the North bank of the aforesaid Andrew Friend Run, and up said run, S. 83 ¼ º W., 15 perches and 15 links to the place of beginning and containing three acres and one hundred and seven and six-tenths perches, more or less.
And it is hereby agreed that the said party of the second part shall build and keep p the fences around the hereby conveyed piece of land, same as said first parties was under obligation to do.
Together with the buildings and improvements thereon, and the rights, roads, ways, waters, privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining.
To have and to hold the above granted and conveyed, and that they will execute such other and further assurances of said land as may be requisite.
