Need input from viewers This message board has become very active, with many viewers checking in each day, but it is not being used to its fullest potential. Please post your questions about your research; others on the site might just know about your "Most Wanted Ancestor". Or post something of your own line; others might be reading and trying to link their family to your line. Simply click on "new thread" in the blue line at top of the first page (right side). Type your message and then scroll down and click "Post Message". Genealogy is knowledge through sharing; it takes everyone working together to make it work.
My most wanted ancestors are the parents of Nancy Catherine Friend (Abt 1840 to 1916). Nancy was my gr gr grandmother. She was married to Abraham A. McRobie (1936-1917). They lived South of Deer Park, Garrett Co., MD. I have gathered the death certicates of seven of her children which state, she was a Friend and born in Maryland. Any assistance with this would be helpful.

My "Most Wanted Ancestor" is: My maternal great grandfather, John B. Thompson. The ONLY information I have on him is that he was supposedly born in 1866 and died in 1945. He married my great grandmother Lillian Beulah Friend and they had one child together, Grace Irene Thompson Croyle, who was born October 5, 1903. I have all kinds of info on the Friend and Croyle side...but nothing on the Thompsons. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Becky Korns

Just wanted to share a successful story about my search for my "Most Wanted Ancestor". For nearly twenty years I thought I had found the parents of my great, grandmother, but without documentation I couldn't be sure.
Only after helping another research with information for her family tree did I discover she lived near the Maryland Archives building and she was willing to go look for a death certificate for me. She found the death certificate and now I am able to prove my great, grandmother's lineage.
The discovery resulted through the thought "knowledge is sharing" and if we share, good things come back to us.
