BARBARY FRIEND'S WILL
Bedford County, Pennsylvania
December 5, 1833
The last will and Testament of "Barbary Friend" of the township of Belfast and County of Bedford, State of Pennsylvania.
I Barbary Friend considering the uncertainty of the mortal life and being of sound mind and memory (Blessed by almighty God for the same) I will that my just debts as shall be owning by me at my death together with my funeral expenses and all charges touching the proving of all otherwise concerning this my "Will" shall, in the first place out of my personal estate and effect be fully paid. Then the residue of household goods, furniture and stock chattels, shall be divided into two equal parts, one half where I give and bequeath unto my daughter, Jane Gorden, one other half I give and bequeath unto my daughter Sarah Clingaman one half of my wearing apparel. I give to Jane Gordon the other half of my wearing apparel, I give to Sarah Clingaman. Further I give and bequeath unto my son Joseph McKinley all the land belong to me together with all the appurtenances belonging thereto. Again I give and bequeath unto the rest of my children, John McKinley, Polly McKinstry, Nancy Libencoat, Elizabeth Martin, twenty-five cents each and I make and ordain Joseph McKinley, my Executor of this my last "Will" and testament.
In witness thereof I have here unto set my hand and seal this twenty-second day of November in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred thirty-three.

I don't know Barbary's maiden name. I had her listed as Barbary Rose McKinley but per above will, showing the name of her son Joesph McKinley, that was obviously her name through her first marriage.]
