I just googled John George Kolb , Friendsville, Maryland and I found his 1941 obituary on your site. I have been tracing the descendants of his grandfather, my great, great grandfather, Johan George Kolb. When i began my search I didn't know anything about John George or his siblings. Through land records I have uncovered the many land transactions that he and his wife Annie E. Steele Kolb as a result of he ownership of the tract Look Sharp. I have learned more from various issues of the Glades Star. This posting has provided a great deal of information I did not know, such where he is buried and that he was a carpenter. I did find out where Annie E. was buried. I am so thankful this information was posted on your site.
I would appreciate any other information that someone can provide me about Mr and Mrs. J. George Kolb and their son and daughter-in-law, Albert and Hazel. Also anything about his work and business as a carpenter. Also any information about his father and mother J. Henry and Elizabeth Kolb who I believe moved from Accident to Friendsville after about 1903.
John Kolb Raleigh, N.C.
